This breed of dogs got its name from its facial appearance. The dogs have large, dark eyes, protruding jaw and lower lip, and whiskers. Therefore, all the above-mentioned features give a monkey-like expression. Belonging to the Toy Group, the dogs range in size from 9 to 12 inches at the withers. Normally, they weigh 8 to 10 pounds.
