Responsible breeders provide all their puppies with registration papers; puppies of pet quality get limited registration, that means they cannot be bred and take part in competitions for purebreds. The breeders should provide you with a pedigree of at least three generations.

Before making a final decision on purchasing a purebred puppy make sure that the breeder is responsible and doesn’t raise puppies as a hobby or for getting money. You should visit the kennel yourself and inspect it for cleanliness, ask to see the parents of the litter. If you do not want to buy dog, contact rescues for available dogs.
