Japanese Dog
Japanese dog is rather rare; a purebred dog or a puppy can be obtained only from a rpeutable kennel.
These hounds shed a little, so occasional combing, trimming and bathing are sufficient to keep the coat neat and healthy-looking. The breed is generally healthy, but prone to a Canine von Willebrand's disease, Scottie Cramp, flea allergy, intervertebral disc disease, and other disorders.

Hounds of this breed do not need a lot of exercise and can be kept indoors, provided with short walks twice a day. These little hounds are very playful and make good companions for children, but not very little ones, because the hounds cannot stand rough play and handling.
