The Australian Kelpie was developed for herding sheep on the large Australian farms of the 1800’s. Incredible workers, this breed has earned a reputation of never tiring. The Australian Kelpie is also exceedingly intelligent and extremely obedient to its owner. Some say that Australia’s sheep market would not have been so successful, if it had not been for the Australian Kelpie and its ability to do the work of several men!
