This breed is very popular nowadays, but not all future owners are knowledgeable enough on the care requirements of these dogs. It often results in behavior problems and surrendering the pet to the rescue. Prior to obtaining a purebred dog of this breed or a pet of a mixed origin you should decide who will be responsible for exercising and training of such an active dog. Developed specially for hunting, these dogs are not satisfied with short walks in the yard.

This is a registered society organized for the promotion and preservation of the breed by means of competitions, educational activities, rescue activities, and breeder referrals. The organization was founded by a small group of breed fanciers. Breed enthusiasts will find much useful information there. The organization holds a Specialty Show each year, Conformation and Obedience Matches, Fun and Games days, meetings, and other events where they have members willing to help and participate.
