Before obtaining a pet of any breed, you are highly recommended to make a research into the breed you fancy. It may find out that its temperament and upkeep requirements are different from what you can successfully cope with. Many dogs of this breed are difficult to train, as they have a stubborn stroke. Being natural hunters, they cannot do without much exercise and should not be kept in a small apartment without mental and physical stimulation; otherwise, they may become aggressive and difficult to control.

The decision to adopt a dog should be a thoroughly pre-planned action. It is a great responsibility one should approach seriously. Some people forget about the commitment that dog ownership represents. As a result, the shelters are full of homeless dogs. By adopting a dog you contribute to a solution to the problem of thrown away animals. Rescue volunteers care for the needy dogs until a new loving home is found for them.
