Beagle Behavior

To learn more about beagle behavior, you may want to visit a few kennels and meet the dog. The breed is generally good with other pets on the condition it has been socialized with them from an early age. These dogs have a mind of their own and should receive obedience training early. They are sociable and need constant human contact. Independent and stubborn nature of this breed makes obedience training a necessity and a challenge. These dogs generally adore children, if they are socialized properly with them, though small children and dogs should never be left unsupervised. These gentle and amiable dogs are recommended for active people and make wonderful companions for children. They seem to have boundless sources of energy and are always on the move. The breed may easily get into trouble since it follows its nose. These intelligent and curious creatures need to be kept occupied and if regularly left alone in a backyard, they will usually start digging, barking, and looking for ways to get out. If left indoors, these dogs become bored and destructive; they will chew and spoil everything they can find. To learn more about beagle behavior, you may want to visit a few kennels and meet the dog.
