The AKC recognizes two standards of these canines. The smaller type stands 13 inches and weighs about 18 pounds. The type is 15-inches in size, and reaches the weight of about 30 pounds. Both types possess the same physical qualities and personality traits. One of the characteristic features of the dogs is their low-set, droop, and moderately long ears. Large, hazel eyes give them a tender, and affectionate appearance. The body of the canine is rather heavy for its size. The coat is a hard, and smooth. Alert and intelligent, these will be wonderful family pets and companions. View a dog breed beagle picture and discuss the terms of the purchase with the breeder.
