Like all hounds, these dogs should be kept in a securely fenced yard and never be left off the leash in public areas to avoid escaping.

These hounds are hardy, sturdy, squarely built, with a lively temperament. Their sleek coat is easy to care for. It can be tri-color, red and white, orange and white, or lemon and white. In general, the Beagle looks like a small English Foxhound. The skull of the hound is broad and slightly rounded. The muzzle is straight and square. The feet are round and strong. The long ears are wide and pendant. The large eyes are of a beautiful hazel color. The eyes of the hound have a characteristic pleading expression.
