Pocket Beagle

A pocket beagle photo and photos of other small hounds are available on the web. In appearance, it is a shorthaired, small to medium size scent hound. Its sleek coat is easy to groom, though the dogs do shed, particularly in the spring. Long, pending ears, and large eyes make them look very charming. This breed is easy to keep, as the grooming requirements are minimal. Occasional baths and brushing are enough to keep the coat clean. Like with all dogs, this breed needs regular nail clipping, ear cleaning and vet checks. As for hereditary disorders, if you buy from a reliable breeder, the chances that you’ll get a healthy pet are very high. These hounds are outgoing, active, very energetic, and friendly. Affectionate with their family, they are known as excellent trackers and wonderful family companions. Natural clowns, they remain playful and busy-like when they become adults. They bond to all members of the family, sharing their love equally. Training can be not very easy, since these dogs have a stubborn stroke. They will make wonderful pets for people leading an active life and are not recommended for families that have little time for a pet. To become good pets these dogs need much interaction, exercise and discipline. It’s very important to give a puppy obedience lessons to prevent it from roaming. A pocket beagle photo and photos of other small hounds are available on the web.
