The Bloodhound originated in the Ardenne region of central Europe, which is on the border of France and Belgium. The Bloodhounds were first used by law enforcement in 1805 in England. The Thrapthon Association for the Prevention of Felons started using a Bloodhound to search for thieves and poachers. It is interesting that the testimony of a Bloodhound's man-trailing results is acceptable in almost any court.
