An Australian blue dog heeler are very smart and accept training when bred pure by a breeder. The hounds have weather-resistant coat that needs little care and is very easy to groom. You need to comb and brush with a firm bristle brush, and bathe your hound when necessary. This breed tends to shed their coats once or twice per year (depending on sex status and region). These hounds brought by the settlers from Europe in the 19th century. These first representatives of the breed were called Smithfield and the Old Smooth Collie (there are no smooth collie known nowadays).
