Austrailian Blue Heeler

A pure bred austrailian blue heeler is often bred by breeders, or a kennel, as a cattle herding dog and not a pet. As far as their attitude to their owners they are extremely loyal, gentle, alert, and are very receptive to training. Born all white, their coat coloring develops a few weeks after birth. These dogs are 17-20 inches (43-51cm); the bitches are naturally smaller: 17-19 inches (43-48cm). They weigh about 32-35 pounds (15-16kg): the bitches 30-35 pounds (14-16kg). A pure bred austrailian blue heeler is often bred by breeders, or a kennel, as a cattle herding dog and not a pet.

These dogs belong to the working group of hounds that are a tough and hard working group with tremendous endurance, allowing them to cover immense distances. Medium in size, they are a one-person dog and rather aloof with strangers though are good with family members. A pure bred austrailian blue heeler is often bred by breeders, or a kennel, as a cattle herding dog and not a pet.
