Boxer Bulldogs

In appearance, these dogs are muscular, short-coated and square-headed; their skin is tight and the tail is usually docked. Ears of these dogs are usually cropped, but more and more owners prefer natural look for their pets. The only acceptable body color for this breed is fawn, and the only acceptable pattern is brindle. White markings on the muzzle, chest, belly, feet, neck, and inner legs are permitted, if they cover no more then one-third of the body. These dogs are easily trained and eager to learn. These lively and easy-going dogs have a tendency to jump up at people and this trait should be controlled at an early age. Training should start early with these dogs and the owner should be consistent. This breed originated in Germany in the 19th century. In temperament, these dogs are happy, high-spirited, playful, curious and energetic. These dogs will do okay in an apartment if sufficiently exercised.
