The Brussels Griffon originates from Belgium where it was used initially to catch rats in stables and barns. The Brussels Griffon was created from various toy breeds such as the Affenpinscher, pugs, and some toy spaniels. In the late 1800’s, the Brussels Griffon made its way to England, and then into the United States. A sweet, tiny dog, the Brussels Griffon makes a wonderful companion with proper training and socialization.
Also called Petit Brabancon and Belgian Griffon.
