The usual coloring of the dog is the white and the colored. There can also be other than white, or any color with white just so long as the white does not predominate. The "Colored" type was voted a separate variety of this breed in 1936.

These dogs are exceedingly friendly and they are not aggressive until they are trained to be so. These dogs thrive on affection, and always ready for a fight and a frolic.
