Cane Corso - Picture

The Cane Corso was bred in Sicily. Originally they were used to hunt wild boars, stag and bears, but when the animal numbers decreased the Cane Corso became a farm dog. They were used for herding, home guard dogs and to protect the livestock. The first Cane Corso came to the United States in 1987. The name Cane Corso means the dog that guards the property.
