This breed originated in the 1960’s in the USA. It is a cross between the American Cocker Spaniel and the Miniature Poodle. It is not registered by the AKC now, but may soon become a recognized breed; nowadays only the NACR and CCA register such dogs. Most cockapoo breeders will have puppies available and take rescue surrenders also.
