Dalmatian breeders and kennels should avoid breeding dogs that are likely to end up in rescues. The spots on the coat are of different sizes. The fairly long neck is slightly arched and blends smoothly into shoulders; the head is in balance with the dog’s body. The expression is alert and displays the dog’s outgoing temperament; the hounds are very good with children and people even strangers. These are medium-sized, well-muscled and short-coated dogs. They are active and energetic, and built well for long distance endurance and stamina; people oriented dogs, they love spending plenty of time around their families. They are known for their unusual coat coloring; thus their coat is predominantly white with round spots of black or brown. Dalmatian breeders and kennels should avoid breeding dogs that are likely to end up in rescues.
