Breeding of the dog began in 1920. Then dr. Antonio Nores Martinez began to cross an old breed with other seven breeds in order to produce a better dog that would be not only a good hunter but also a good companion for its master. Most argentine dogo breeders will start training the puppies before they leave their kennel.
