Herding Dogs
Herding dogs are a favorite of breeders who love to show their pictures.
Small farmers who could not afford to keep several canines required one that could hunt and sniff out sheep, and with a keen eye. Breeds were introduced into herding canines and, eventually, a breed possessing quick movement, a canny livestock sense, and a temperament sensitive to the owner's will, developed.
