English Foxhounds
Pictures, Breeders, Puppies, Rescue
The English Foxhound was developed in the 13th century in Great Britain for trailing red fox. This dog would lead the hunters mounted on horses in pursuit of the foxes. In 1738 the English Foxhound was imported to North America and subsequently bred to a smaller size. Even though this dog was not bred to be a family dog, if raised from a puppy they will adapt well and are calm with children.
