The german shepherd rescue virginia clubs and rescues are supported by local breeders. Dogs of this breed are characterized by courage, intelligence and loyalty. They have a strong protective instinct and may exhibit aggression towards people and other dogs, so these animals need early socialization and obedience training. A well-bred and well-trained dog is generally very good with other pets and people. The dog bonds with humans and becomes very attached to the whole family. When separated from the owner, the dog suffers greatly from separation anxiety. The german shepherd rescue virginia clubs and rescues are supported by local breeders.

The club started to keep a studbook immediately and began to circulate a semi-monthly newsletter. The organization that was named after its founder existed until its founder death in 1936. The dog he purchased that day, Horand von Grafrath (previously Hektor Linksrhein) was designated S.Z.1, the first GSD to be registered with the Verein. The Verein became a driving force in the canine world and the largest specialty club with 50,000 members and over 600 affiliated clubs. It held annual "Sieger" shows at which one dog and bitch were selected as Sieger and Siegerin. Only the best representatives of the breed were bred. The german shepherd rescue virginia clubs and rescues are supported by local breeders.
