Golden Retrievers are highly talented. Some of their specialties are hunting, retrieving, narcotics detection, and competitive obedience. They can even perform tricks and they absolutely love to swim! The Golden Retriever was first developed in the British Isles, most likely from crosses between a light-coated Tweed Water Spaniel, yellow Flat-Coated Retriever, other spaniels, setters and even the Newfoundland and possibly the Bloodhound.
