Puppies
Purebred puppies can be either bought from a kennel or adopted from rescues.
Eye rims, lips, nose should be quite dark to black. Black and tan is not found, neither is merle. Piebald greyhounds may be so extensive in their white markings that the base color of the dog is apparent only on the ears or in the ticking and flecking on the white coat.

The breed comes in a variety of colors. Thus the most usual color types are both solid and piebald colors, with or without black mask; with or without black mantle (overlay.) There can also be the following color patterns: red, fawn, and cream, with or without black overlay. Purebred puppies can be either bought from a kennel or adopted from rescues.
