The Italian Greyhound is the smallest dog in the family of gazehounds, dogs that hunt by sight. This breed is believed to have originated over 2,000 years ago in Greece and Turkey. It was in the 16th century that this breed became very popular among Italians and became known as the “Italian Greyhound.” Italian Greyhounds are active little dogs that enjoy a good walk and love to run free and play.
