Keeshond Pedigree

You cannot get a keeshond pedigree when you adopt a pet from the rescues; a pedigree dog can be obtained only from reputable breeders. The puppies are usually less intensely marked and the undercoat is very pale gray or cream, never tawny. "Spectacles" and shadings, as previously described, are characteristic of the breed and must be present to some degree. The muzzle should be dark in color and the ears should be very dark-almost black. The color of the hound is favored by many owners and it is a mixture of gray, black and cream. Such coloration may vary from light to dark. The hair of the outer coat is black tipped, the length of the black tips producing the characteristic shading of color. You cannot get a keeshond pedigree when you adopt a pet from the rescues; a pedigree dog can be obtained only from reputable breeders.
