A puppy rescue may have a few dogs hanging around.
These hounds could be only found in Malta where the breed originated a few decades ago. This can only be attributed to the many generations of Maltese hunters who have bred the Kelb tal-Fenek true to type, recognising the potential of this impeccable hunter thus preserving this beautiful hound throughout the ages.

These hounds are very similar in appearance to most Mediterranean hounds that are: the Podenco Andaluz (Andalusia/Spain), the Kretikos Lagonikos (also known as Kretikos Ichnilatis or Cretan Hound; Crete/Greece) and the Podengo Galego (Galicia/Spain). They are full of grace and very intelligent. A puppy rescue may have a few dogs hanging around.
