Pictures, Breeders, Puppies, Rescue
The Kerry Blue Terrier comes from County Kerry in South-Western Ireland. It originated in the 1700's when Irish shepherds crossed the Irish Terrier and the Dandie Dinmont Terrier. The Kerry Blue Terrier is a symbol of Ireland and is also the national terrier of Ireland. This breed has been used as a hunting dog, farm dog, ratter, retriever, companion, guardian, and used for police work throughout history. Today this breed is primarily a companion.
