In general, these are lovable little dogs that are among the smallest of the working terriers. They have a short, strong, sturdy body with strongly boned legs. They have a fox like muzzle with large solid teeth. Their eyes are dark and expressive.

The dogs of this breed will do okay in an apartment if they are sufficiently exercised. They are fairly active indoors and will do okay without a yard.
