Purebred puppies are available from a responsible breeder, but not all breeders are like this.
It does not matter whether you want to obtain a show quality, or a pet quality puppy. Anyway, you should look for a reputable kennel, where only healthy high quality dogs are produced. Many responsible breeders sell pet pups at a lower price than show pups. However, all the dogs they produce should be free from genetically inherited diseases typical of the breed.
