The Bourbonnais Pointing Dog was already known in the sixteenth century as a skilled quail hunter. The two World Wars almost caused this breeds extinction, however it is currently being revived. The Bourbonnais Pointer is born with little or no tail. This hunting dog can be used on all types of game. Their coat is white speckled with fawn coloring and covered or dotted with pale chestnut spots making it excellent for hunting.
Also called Braque du Bourbonnais.
