The Cesky Terrier is a newer breed and is still rather rare all over the world. Frantisek Horak developed this breed using a combination of the Scottish Terrier and the Sealyham Terrier. He felt this would make an ideal hunting dog. It was not until the 1980s that the Cesky Terrier started making its way into the United States. This breed makes a great family pet and gets along well with people of all ages.
