The history of Danish/Swedish Farm Dogs runs back to the 1700s. During the times when farming throve in Denmark, this dog served as a mouser/ratter, herder, hunter and as a pet. With the decline of farming, the breed lost its purpose, but Danish and Swedish fanciers took efforts to retrieve the breed. Danish/Swedish Farm Dogs are compact in size and loving. They feature rose or folded ears, smooth coat and patchy color patterns.
