The East Siberian Laika is a working dog that originated in Russia. Today, this breed is a combination of the wolf-like spitz and the dogs of the Soviet Union. Work is being done to reestablish this dog as an individual breed. The East Siberian Laika is known for hunting elk, reindeer, bear and marten. Today, they make obedient companions.
