The English Toy Spaniel was primarily developed in the British Isles in the 17th century. This wonderful companion dog became a favorite of the British royalty. During the nineteenth century, the English Toy Spaniel underwent several changes. It was bred smaller, with flattened, upturned face, protruding eyes, and a more rounded skull. The English Toy Spaniel's loving and gentle nature makes them an excellent dog for the elderly.
Also called King Charles Spaniel.
