The Jagdterrier is a fairly new breed and has only been known since the turn of the 20th century. They were developed in Germany and used as a versatile hunting dog. This breed has principally been used to hunt badger, fox, wild boar and weasel. In the United States and Canada, they are also being used as tree dogs primarily for squirrel and raccoon.
