A Korean National Treasure, the Korean Jindo dog for centuries was isolated on Jindo Island. This medium-sized dog demonstrates keen directional sense and tenacious hunting skills enabling it to travel many miles and still find home. It shows white, black, yellow (fawn,) brindle or black and tan coat colors; white and yellow dogs are protected. Although loyal and devoted to its master, it can be independent and willful. Its other names are Chindo, or Jindo Gae.
