Originally a farm dog used to drive livestock and guard homes, Rakousky Pinschers are easily enticed into sport activities, such as biking, walking, flyball, agility. It is energetic, but more relaxed around familiar persons. These fearless and watchful dogs will bark at suspicious noises. Their short, hard topcoat and undercoat comes in red, black, brown, fawn, brindle, or black/tan, with limited white patterns. The tail is docked or left curled over the back. This breed requires spacious fenced areas.
