The Slovensky Cuvac is a flock guardian that is similar to the Kuvasz, however the Kuvasz is a slightly larger breed. The Slovensky Cuvac is recorded as far back as the 17th century. This breed will instinctively protect its family and is great with children in its family. As wolf populations decreased, this breed almost became extinct. Dr.Antonin Hruza's breeding program saved the Slovensky Cuvac.
