The Spanish Mastiff possibly descended from the Roman Molossus and the Mastiff. This breed has a noble demeanor and becomes very attached to the owner. Developed in Extremadura in southwestern Spain, the Spanish Mastiff was used in war, dog fighting and for hunting boar and other large game. This self-confident dog will hold its ground with strangers and predators alike.
