The Staffordshire Bull Terrier was developed in the 19th century in the region of Staffordshire, England. This breed was developed using the Matiff-like dogs and "Bull and Terriers." The Staffordshire Bull Terrrier was developed for the popular sport of dog fighting. Today, this breed is trustworthy, loyal and very affectionate to its owner when properly socialized.
