Pomeranian temperment is willful if the dog is not provided proper training while in the kennel.
The Pom is not recommended for small children as too much attention can make a dog nervous. They are not high strung and have low exercise needs. Do not expect every Pom to be a lap dog because they love play and enjoy being involved in various activities.

They are alert and can also be used as watchdogs because they are sure to sound alarm when somebody is at the door.
