Rat Terrier Picture

The dogs are easy to groom and occasional combing and brushing to remove dead hair is all it needs. The breed was created in 1820 and is a cross of Smooth Fox Terriers and Manchester Terriers. These dogs were brought to the USA in the 1890's.

These dogs are very inquisitive and lively; they are very affectionate and make excellent companions for everyone. They are playful and are very good with children.
