Adopt A Rottweiler

If you want to adopt a rottweiler, don't trust a picture or galleries of pictures before you see the dog itself. In the wrong hands, these dogs are difficult to control; they require dominating and strong-willed owner. Normally, these dogs are very protective, calm, courageous and immune to pain, but abandoned animals may develop behavioral and health problems. The life expectancy of the breed is 10-12 years. The average height of this breed is 24-17 inches (61-70 cm) at the shoulders; bitches are 22-25 inches (56-63 cm.) The weight of dogs varies from 95 to 130 pounds; bitches are from 85 to 115 pounds. So these dogs are not for every family. If you want to adopt a rottweiler, don't trust a picture or galleries of pictures before you see the dog itself. Adopt A Rottweiler

Dog owners without a strong grasp of the breed’s nature and basics of obedience training can find themselves in trouble, especially if the dog has been badly bred and raised in a backyard kennel. Such dogs tend to become dominating, aggressive, or territorial. Both aggression and timidity are disqualifying faults in this breed. Only irresponsible breeders and unknowledgeable owners encourage aggressive behavior in their dogs. It’s difficult to correct aggressive behavior, as the personality of a dog develops at the early age. Such dogs cannot find new owners, if surrendered to the rescue. If you want to adopt a rottweiler, don't trust a picture or galleries of pictures before you see the dog itself.
