The dog is very powerful and very compact. Though they seem very strong, they can be prone to different diseases such as hip dysplasia and overeating, heart problems. Males range from 95 to 135 lbs and 24" to 27" at the shoulder. Males are more massive throughout with larger frame and heavier bone than bitches. Bitches are about 80 to 100 lbs and from 22" to 25" at the shoulders. The dogs should correspond to the standard of the breed to participate in the shows.
