The dogs of this breed look much like Greyhounds with long hair. Their average height is 26-28 inches at the shoulders; the weight is between 60 and 100 pounds. This breed appeared in the Middle Ages to hunt for wolves and other large game. Russian hound should be obtained from a reliable breeder; never trust hobby breeders.
