pictures, rescues
The other names of the breed are Gazelle Hound and Persian Greyhound. The Arabs were the first to breed these animals, but the breed history is traced back to the time of the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. Arabs considered this breed to be the gift of Allah and named it after the ancient city. A saluki dog can be seen in pictures on breeders and rescues sites.
