Shih Tzus
Pictures, Breeders, Puppies, Rescue
This dog is sometimes called the "chrysanthemum-faced dog" because the hair grows on the face in all directions. Contributing to the development of the dog was a cross between the Tibetan Lhasa Apso and the Pekingese. Quickly this breed became a favorite of the Imperial Chinese court and for many years the Chinese refused to sell or trade the Shih Tzu to anyone in the West. This breed is a popular companion and show dog.
Also called Chrysanthemum Dog.
