Skye Terriers
Pictures, Breeders, Puppies, Rescue
In the early 1600's a Spanish ship came to rest against the rocks of the island of Skye in the Scottish Hebrides. Among the survivors were Maltese dogs that mated with local terriers and produced this new and unique breed. This breed is a very loyal dog and a legend claims that one Skye Terrier maintained a ten year vigil at its master’s grave. The locals kept the dog fed.
